John Travolta Devotes His Life to Caring for Their Children After Kelly Preston’s Passing

Following the death of Kelly Preston, John Travolta devotes his life to raising their children.

Throughout his life, John Travolta has experienced a great deal. Travolta is still going strong because of his character and dedication as a husband and parent, in addition to his well-known portrayals, such as that of greaser Danny Zuko.

His wife of 28 years, Kelly Preston, passed away in July 2020 following a two-year battle with breast cancer. Her age was fifty-seven. Because of their two kids, son Benjamin and daughter Ella, Travolta has been doing his hardest to be optimistic despite this catastrophe.

The Travolta family had yet another tragedy before to the death of his cherished wife: in January 2009, he and Kelly lost their 16-year-old son Jett due to a seizure.

Jett died after having a seizure while on vacation in the Bahamas. His folks were devastated. “It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened in my life,” Travolta stated in an interview with US Weekly at the time of the loss. In all honesty, I wasn’t sure if I would survive.

Preston decided not to disclose that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. On the British talk program “Loose Women,” Sally Phillips, who costarred with her in her most recent movie, Off the Rails, revealed that they were not aware of it while it was being filmed. Sally went on to explain that movie stars frequently conceal health conditions out of fear for their future employment prospects and movie insurance.

“People go through it on their own because they are worried about insurance for the film and working again afterward,” she said. Sally also brought attention to comparable cases, such Chadwick Boseman and Helen McCrory, who also chose not to make their health issues public.

“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side,” Travolta said on Instagram in addition to discussing his grief. Kelly’s life and love will never be forgotten. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to everyone who helped him through the family’s difficult moments.

His kids helped him deal with the sadness he still feels on his first birthday without Kelly at his side. Following in her parents’ footsteps and pursuing a career in film, Ella has shared a heartfelt homage to Travolta, calling him “the most incredible man I have ever known.”

“You are my best friend in addition to being the greatest father I have ever known. We appreciate everything you do for us every day, including parenting us, supporting us, and loving us. We are as fortunate as the rest of the world to have you. You have my affection, Daddy. Yesterday, I had a great time with you on your birthday,” Ella wrote.

Travolta honored his beloved late wife on Instagram by posting a picture of her with the message, “Happy Birthday Kelly,” on what would have been her 59th birthday. We sincerely love and miss you.

Ella also posted a heartfelt note, expressing how much she misses her mother. She wrote, “Happy Birthday, Mama. You are so loved and missed.”

Some of Travolta’s pals reportedly attempted to assist him get back on the dating scene after the loss he experienced, but it appears that the actor is still in mourning and isn’t quite ready to move on.

An insider informed OK! Magazine that “John has had no shortage of friends wanting to set him up and there are a lot of women who would love to go out with him.”

John simply doesn’t care, even though he is flattered.

Nobody wants to push him because they know he’s conflicted about being the greatest father he can be, remaining unmarried, and letting love into his life once more. Everyone is giving John the space he needs until he can work things out.

Travolta discussed the talk he had with his son Benjamin following the death of his mother during an interview on Kevin Heart’s talk show, Heart to Heart.

“I’m afraid you’re going to die because your mother died,” Travolta remembered, “[Ben] said to me once.” “Well, it’s a very different thing,” I answered. And I discussed the disparities between her short life and mine.

“But you always love the truth, Ben, and I’m going to tell you the truth about life,” I continued. “There is no way to predict when they will leave or remain,” he added.

“Your brother [Jett] left at sixteen,” I remarked. Too young. At age 57, your mother departed. It was too young. However, who can say? “I could die tomorrow,” I said. You might. Anyone can. Therefore, let’s consider it a fact of life. You’re not exactly sure. You simply try your hardest to live as long as possible.

In an interview with Esquire Mexico, John Travolta discussed his grief management while maintaining a low profile.

“I’ve discovered that grieving and sorrow are very individualized experiences. Only your own path will heal you; it’s personal,” Travolta told the magazine. Each person experiences it differently. Allowing someone to experience their grief without interfering with your own is the finest thing you can do to support them. That’s what I’ve discovered.

Travolta is incredibly close to his two children and is quite proud of them.

He has never passed up the opportunity to publicly express his affection for his kids and to let them know how much they mean to him. The lovely thing is that Benjamin and Ella follow suit.

Actress Ella, who is descended from her well-known parents, says her father is the most significant individual in her life and her role model.

The Poison Rose (2019) and Old Dogs (2009) are two of Ella’s well-known films. “I’ve loved performing, singing, dancing, and hosting shows for my family and friends at home since I was very young,” she said to People.

The Saturday Night Fever star expressed his thoughts on fatherhood on parent’s Day, stating, “Being a father is a privilege.” My babies, you are loved. “Happy Father’s Day to all of you,” accompanied with pictures of his kids.
