My dog suddenly stopped in the grass and started sniffing intensely. Curious, I went over to see… and that’s when I noticed a strange object — dark, almost metallic.
The strangest part?
It definitely wasn’t there that same morning.
I touched it with a stick: it seemed stuck to the grass, very light, almost hollow. Honestly, it looked like a piece of burned metal or something that had fallen from the sky.
As a precaution, my father picked it up with a bag and threw it away. But ever since then, we’ve all been asking the same question…
👉 What was it really?
At first glance, it looks like some kind of artificial object. But the reality is very different.
👉 It’s actually a slime mold (a myxomycete).
This type of organism can appear very quickly, often after humidity or rain. As it dries, it becomes darker, with a shiny surface that can even look metallic.
That’s why it seemed so strange… almost unreal.
Nothing dangerous, just nature doing something surprising 😄
