In our local c.e ḿetery, there is a g.r αve… unlike the others 😶
Every time I pass by, I slow down.
Not because of the silence… or the old statues… but because of this g.r αve.
It doesn’t look like any other.
Instead of a simple headstone, it’s covered with a strange metal structure.
Almost like a c.a ġe.
Solid, heavy… and completely closed.
The first time I saw it, I thought it was decorative.
But as I got closer, I quickly realized that wasn’t the case.
Why build something so imposing… just for a g.r αve?
Since that day, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.
Every time I visit the cemetery, I pause a little longer.
I look at the metal bars, the curved shape… as if something were l.o ćked inside.
One day, I even asked a c.e ḿetery worker.
He hesitated… then simply said:
“It’s not to keep something inside…
it’s to stop someone from getting in.”
Chills.
When I got home, I finally decided to look for the answer.
And what I discovered was even more unsettling than anything I had imagined…
👉 It’s called a “m.o ŕtsafe”, a structure once used to protect g.r αves from b.o đy snatchers. 😶
