My husband and I booked a hotel room during our vacation, thinking we could finally relax after a long trip. Everything seemed perfect… until I noticed something strange near the door.
In the corner, attached to the wall, there was this odd object. A kind of elongated shape, like a small column made of mud, with a round tip. When I looked closer, I even thought I saw something inside…
I froze for a moment. Honestly, it didn’t look like anything normal. My husband thought it might be some kind of decoration, but the more I looked at it, the more it seemed alive… or at least once alive 😅
For a good half hour, we tried to figure out what it was. We came up with all sorts of ideas: an insect nest, a cocoon, or even something left behind by a previous guest…
Then, after a bit of research, everything became clear.
👉 It’s actually a mud dauber wasp nest, made of mud, with a larva inside.
