This morning, I went into the kitchen to make breakfast and noticed something strange lying on the table. At first, I thought someone had left a piece of fur or a tiny piece of fabric there. But when I looked closer, I realized that it was actually something alive.
I got closer and saw the little creature slowly moving. Its b.o đy was covered in incredibly soft-looking yellowish hairs, which made it look almost like a tiny furry animal. I honestly had never seen anything like it before.
I didn’t want to touch it, so I grabbed a glass and carefully covered it while I tried to figure out what had somehow ended up in my kitchen. I spent almost an hour looking at it from a safe distance, wondering if it was some kind of unusual caterpillar or insect.
After asking around, I finally found out what it was. It turned out to be a puss caterpillar (southern flannel moth caterpillar). It may look soft and harmless, but those hairs can hide ve.n σmous spines, so I’m definitely glad I didn’t touch it!
