This evening, I went into my grandpa’s garage to get some tools and suddenly found this. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. I pulled it out and placed it on the workbench, thinking it might be some kind of old tool or a piece of machinery.

The strangest part was the long, twisted material growing all along the inside. At first, I thought it could be some kind of dried plant, a strange root, or even something that had gotten stuck in an old piece of equipment. I spent almost an hour examining it from every angle, but I couldn’t figure out how it had ended up looking like this.

Later, after showing the photos to someone who works with cars, I finally got an explanation. Apparently, the object is a car’s air-conditioning condensate drain tube (evaporator drain hose) that had become completely clogged and packed with plant roots and organic debris. Moisture inside the warm, damp drain system can create conditions where seeds or roots get inside and grow.

So, as strange as it looks, it wasn’t some mysterious old tool at all — it was an A/C condensate drain tube completely filled with plant roots!
