Trusting Her Innate Sensation
The doctors advised Danielle to remove her husband from life support because there was a “90% chance” that he wouldn’t wake up from his slumber.
His ribs, collar bone, femur, jaw, and skull were all broken. Along with severe brain damage, his liver was also severely affected.
His odds of survival were a pitiful 10% and 5%, respectively.
In a television interview, Danielle claimed that the doctors had informed her that they would cut the cord if it were them.
“They stated that’s what their family would want to do.”Despite her refusal to heed their advise, she said.”I had faith that God could help us get through it. It wasn’t too big for God, in my opinion,” she continued.
Before getting married, Matt and Daniella had only been dating for two months. She was 24 and Matt was 23.
Seven months had passed since the first disaster.
Two years prior, in a horrific tragedy, Matt’s father had passed away. This is why, following his accident, he was left in that situation and his mother became too ill to take care of him.
Daniella decided to maintain him on life support. When Matt woke up, his memory of Daniella was gone due to brain injury.
Still, he was glad he had married her. He said, “I’m sure glad I married her,” to ABC News.
Until the end of eternity
Matt and Danielle returned to live with her mother, sharing his care.
The first three months were spent with him remaining in a coma. He woke up and started to follow them with his eyes.
