His daughter, Corinne Foxx, confirmed the news through a statement and thanked her father’s fans for their support.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote in a post on Instagram.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
The exact reason for Foxx’s hospitalizations remains unknown, but it is believed that it was something serious as TMZ reported, “We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family – some of whom were not in town – came to the hospital. One source told us, ‘He’s communicating now, and that’s good news’.”

The family, however, didn’t provide any further details on the matter.
The Oscar winning actor was last spotted two days prior to his hospitalization while in Atlanta where he is working on the movie Back in Action.
Foxx, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of blind singer Ray Charles in the film Ray, has had quite a career. He’s been part of a number of movies, among which Jarhead, Django Unchained, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Foxx’s upcoming movie will show him playing alongside Cameron Diaz, whose latest project took place back in 2014. She spoke of stepping down from Hollywood and filming, and her return to the big screen seems to be influenced by Foxx who is said to be the driving force behind her decision to join him in their current project.
It remains unknown if Foxx’s condition will affect the filming schedule.
We are glad Foxx is recovering from the health scare he experienced.
