Meet Hattie.
We received an urgent call asking for help.
Hattie did have an owner, but when her condition worsened, he refused to pay for treatment because it was too expensive.
To be fair, he never let her starve — she was always fed.
But love alone could not stop what was happening to her.
A massive t.u ḿor kept growing larger and larger, making every movement p.a ìnful.
Walking became a struggle.
Her body was carrying a weight no dog should ever endure.
She was rushed to the veterinary clinic as an emergency.
Tests were done immediately, and all we could do was pray.
We hoped with everything we had that the t.u ḿor was benign. If it was malignant, it would have been de.v αstating.
While waiting for the biopsy results, we stayed close to her.
We spoke to her gently, comforted her, and took her for short walks.
She was so happy just to feel fresh air and companionship.
Even in p.a ìn, Hattie wagged her tail.
Then the miracle came.
The biopsy results confirmed it — the enormous t.u ḿor, weighing nearly 20 pounds, was benign.
Relief flooded the room.
Surgery was scheduled right away, and once again, we prayed.
The operation was a complete success.
When Hattie woke up, she was tired but alert.
Before surgery, she weighed around 41 pounds — after the t.u ḿor was removed, she weighed just 26 pounds.
That was the burden she had been carrying every single day.
She will need time to heal, pain medication, and limited movement while her body recovers.
There is some remaining fluid that will be addressed, along with excess skin.
But most importantly — Hattie is safe.
She is recovering.
And her spirit is brighter than ever.
Her s.c αr may look rough for now, but her heart is full of hope.
Step by step, she is healing beautifully.
And then came the happiest ending of all.
Hattie has been adopted.
From s.u ƒfering and uncertainty to warmth and love — she has finally found her forever family.
She is gentle, innocent, and pure.
With her new life and her second chance, happiness now surrounds her.
Hattie stole our hearts completely.
She deserves every bit of love the world has to offer. 🐾❤️
