Meet Dulce. She was abandoned on the street, her belly swollen and heavy.
Her owner refused treatment. “She has been like this for months,” he said.
He claimed he loved her, yet chose to walk away.
We were angry— but some people are not worth our time.
Dulce could barely walk. She managed only a few steps before collapsing to the ground.

Her body was nothing but skin and bones.
Fleas covered her— likely causing a serious b.l σod in.f ℮ction.
Her abdomen was filled with fluid.
So much fluid that we feared for her kidneys and lungs.
Despite everything, Dulce was gentle.
Friendly. Hopeful. She kissed my hand, as if trying to say thank you.

She wanted to live. She wanted to be saved. Dulce was taken to the clinic.
Tests were prepared.
The doctor began by aspirating the fluid.
This poor baby could not survive without urgent help.
She required multiple procedures to remove the fluid from her abdomen.
Each time, her body grew a little lighter.
A little stronger.
Slowly, Dulce began to feel relief.
She relaxed.
She started to eat— and ate well.
Her personality emerged.

She even learned how to joke during meals.
She knew she was safe.
Thanks to the kindness of supporters who visited, cared, and believed in her,
Dulce was given a chance.
Thank God for saving this sweet angel.

Her journey is not over— but she is no longer alone.
