How he survived is a miracle.
Starving dog Alex was on the brink of d.e αth, wandering the streets with no food, no help, no hope.
He survived by eating rocks and twigs.
When we found him, his body was severely emaciated, his eyes tired,
but his spirit — still alive.
Alex was immediately placed on a specialized feeding plan so his body could safely adjust to regular food again.

Despite everything he had been through, he showed a gentle, friendly nature and loved being around people.
His digestion slowly stabilized — a very encouraging sign.
Alex was diagnosed as heavy heartworm positive, but treatment had to wait until his body was strong enough.
Little by little, he began to gain strength.
He loved walks, loved attention, and never met a stranger.
Then suddenly, Alex took a turn for the worse.
He went into emergency surgery for bloat — his stomach had flipped, and his condition declined rapidly.
He remained on IV fluids and medications.
The timing was t.e ŕrible, but Alex proved once again that he is a fighter.
After surgery, his appetite slowly returned.
He began eating small portions again, holding food down, growing stronger.
Though he lost some weight after the operation, hope never left.
Alex started walking with more confidence, sometimes proudly carrying a toy with him.
Even at his age, he still had playful, puppy-like energy.

Further examinations showed his liver and pancreas were normal, but an internal abscess was discovered.
It was drained, and the infection explained his fever and abnormal test results.
Recovery continued.
For Alex, happiness looked like rolling in grass, dirt, and sunshine — his own kind of therapy.
His body filled out slowly, his strength returned, and his personality blossomed.
He became playful, loved to fetch, and followed commands — especially if a toy was involved.
His true Weimaraner spirit finally began to shine.
Daily treatments continued, including fluids and antibiotics, all part of healing his body completely.
Alex grew stronger, more confident, more alive with every step.
Though heartworm treatment still lay ahead, his transformation was already incredible.
Eventually, Alex reached a healthy weight.
And then — the moment every rescue dreams of arrived.
Alex found his forever home.
A kind woman fell in love with him and made him part of her family.
Now, Alex lives surrounded by love.
He eats well.
He plays like a puppy again. His ribs are no longer visible — a true sign of care.
He looks like a completely different dog.
His joy shines brighter every day.
Alex is no longer surviving. He is living.
His transformation is nothing short of a miracle.
Thank you to everyone who supported, believed, and helped give Alex the life he always deserved
