At first, it looked like something really strange — almost unreal. A long body like a snake, with a large swollen “head” at one end… pretty unsettling.
Some people thought it was an unknown creature, others believed it might be something washed up by the ocean after a storm.
But when you look a little closer, the explanation is actually much simpler.
It’s a d.e αd eel.
After it d.i ℮s, the body begins to de.c σmpose. Internal gases build up, and together with seawater, certain parts — especially the head — can swell dramatically, creating that unusual shape.
The ocean, waves, and sand can also change its appearance even more, making it almost unrecognizable.
So nothing mysterious… just a natural phenomenon that can look very strange at first glance.
