At first, she thought it was some kind of prank.
Tiny, shiny, rose-gold creatures suddenly appeared all over her floor. Dozens… then hundreds. They were curled, almost shrimp-like, with little legs and strange segmented bodies. Some were moving, others completely still.
“I’ve never seen anything like this,” she said. “They look like something from another planet.”
The strangest part? They seemed to appear out of nowhere. One moment, the floor was clean — the next, it looked like it was covered in these bizarre little things. Panic started to set in. Were they d.a חgerous? Were they multip.l ɣing? How did they even get inside?
She tried to get closer, but the sight alone was unsettling. The color, the shape, the sheer number of them… it didn’t feel normal at all.
After taking a few photos and asking around, the mystery was finally solved.
👉 They are actually amphipods — tiny crustaceans often called “lawn shrimp” or “sand fleas.”
They usually live outdoors in moist environments like soil, mulch, or near water. After heavy rain or humidity, they can suddenly appear in large numbers and accidentally make their way indoors. Once inside, they quickly d.i ℮ due to the dry conditions — which is why they turn that pinkish color.
Not aliens… just nature showing up uninvited 😅
