I just moved into a new house… and I found this under the bed 😳
I thought the hardest part would be unpacking the boxes.
But on the very first day, while I was cleaning, something strange caught my attention under the bed.
A metal object, heavy… with a really unusual shape.
A T-shaped handle, two long parallel rods, and in the middle — a kind of curved piece covered with worn material.
At first, I thought it was some kind of tool.
Then I picked it up… and turned the handle.
The mechanism started to move slowly.
As if it was designed to spread something apart… and hold it in place.
At that moment, I got chills.
Why would something like this be hidden under a bed?
I spent quite a while looking at it, trying to understand.
The more I examined it, the stranger it seemed.
Finally, after a bit of research… everything became clear.
👉 It’s an old veterinary mouth gag (speculum) used to keep animals’ mouths open during treatment. 😶
