I mean, seriously, just look at that shape! At first glance, my brain instantly went into survival mode. It looked like some kind of c.r ℮epy, mythical mini-mermaid, or a bizarre alien creature that had just crawled out of the drain to haunt my night. My heart literally skipped a beat, and I froze at the door. 😭
I stood there for a good two or three minutes, just staring, filming, and honestly waiting for it to twitch or make a sudden move. I even thought about packing my bags and moving out right then and there. 🧳😂
But once the initial panic faded, I pulled out my flashlight, leaned in closer, and examined it from every possible angle.
And well, the mystery was finally solved! Turns out, it’s actually the shed skin of a house centipede (scutigera). Still absolutely t.e ŕrifying to stumble upon in the dark, but at least I can confirm it’s not an alien invasion!
