I found this in my grandmother’s old dresser.

At first, I honestly thought it might be some kind of strange antique tool. The shape was so unusual — smooth, narrow, and perfectly polished, almost like it had been carefully handcrafted decades ago.

My grandmother used to keep all sorts of random things in that dresser: old buttons, sewing needles, tiny scissors, pieces of fabric, even handwritten notes folded into little envelopes. So when I found this hidden at the bottom of a small box, I immediately assumed it had some special purpose.

The more I looked at it, the more mysterious it seemed.
It almost looked medical… or maybe something used for carving or engraving. I even wondered if it belonged to some old beauty or crafting kit from years ago.

I tried searching online, comparing shapes and old vintage tools, but nothing matched perfectly at first. And honestly, the tiny string attached to it only made it look even stranger 😅

But after digging a little deeper, the answer finally became clear 👇

👉 It’s actually a vintage sewing stiletto.

An old sewing tool used to guide fabric under a sewing machine needle, open seams, and help with delicate stitching work.
