I recently met a woman at the supermarket, and we started seeing each other. Everything seemed completely normal at first. We went on a second date, spent the evening together, talked for hours… honestly, I was really happy.
But the next morning, I woke up and immediately felt something strange on my forehead.
At first, I thought it was just irritation or maybe an allergic reaction. But when I looked in the mirror, I froze.
My forehead was covered with red s.o ŕes, crusts, and strange yellowish patches. Some parts looked almost b.u ŕned, while others seemed wet and irritated. I had never seen anything like this before in my life.
I spent almost half an hour standing in front of the mirror trying to understand what was happening to me. My imagination immediately started going crazy.
Was it some kind of infection?
An allergic reaction?
Something contagious? 😭
I even started remembering everything from the previous evening, trying to figure out where this could have come from.
The worst part was that it kept looking more disturbing the longer I stared at it. The crusts became darker, the skin felt tight and p.a ìnful, and honestly, I started panicking a little.
After searching online and finally speaking with a doctor, I discovered what it actually was.
👉 It turned out to be impetigo.
Impetigo is a contagious bacterial skin in.f ℮ction that can cause red s.o ŕes, yellowish crusts, irritation, and inf.l αmmation. It often spreads through skin contact and is more common than people think.
Thankfully, it can usually be treated with proper medication and antibiotics — but honestly, seeing it suddenly appear overnight was t.e ŕrifying 😳
