This evening, I walked into the bathroom and noticed this stuck near the wall. It definitely wasn’t there last night.
Honestly, when I first saw it, I almost screamed. The shape was so strange that for a moment I thought it might be some kind of nest, fungus, or even the re.m αins of a small animal. The reddish marks on the wall only made it look even more disturbing.
After I calmed down, I spent nearly an hour examining it from every angle. I even grabbed a flashlight and checked around the pipes, trying to figure out where it had come from. The texture was weird—light, porous, and almost sponge-like.
My imagination was running wild. I started thinking about insects, rodents, and all kinds of things I probably shouldn’t have been thinking about.
Eventually, I called my husband and showed it to him.
That’s when he started laughing.
👉 It turned out to be nothing mysterious at all. A while ago, my husband had used expanding foam around a sewer pipe in the ceiling above the bathroom. Over time, a loose piece had broken off and fallen to the floor, picking up dust and dirt along the way.
So after all that panic, it was just an old chunk of expanding foam. 😅
