At first, I thought it might be some kind of strange piece of rubber that had fallen out of something. But when I looked closer, I noticed that it had a soft, almost slippery appearance.
The weirdest part was its shape. It was long and thick, but one end looked noticeably wider than the other. I kept wondering how something like this could possibly have ended up on the bathroom floor.
I checked around the bathtub, under the sink, and even behind the toilet, thinking maybe it had come from a cleaning product or some household item. Nothing seemed to explain it.
For a moment, I even wondered if some kind of animal had somehow gotten into the bathroom while we were away. That thought definitely didn’t make me feel any better.
I finally took a few photos and started comparing them with pictures online. The more I looked, the stranger it seemed.
Then I finally found an explanation that actually made sense.
👉 It turned out to be a leech.
Apparently, some species can become surprisingly large when fully extended, and their soft bodies can look completely different depending on how they are positioned.
I honestly never expected to find something like that on a bathroom floor. Needless to say, I’m definitely checking the bathroom more carefully from now on.😅
