Jennifer Garner has not only had a successful career in Hollywood, but she has also remained close to her parents.
On Monday, the actress shared the news of her father’s passing on social media. At the age of 85, he was very old.
William John Garner was the father of Jennifer Gardner. Who was this man?
According to KBTX News 3.hip, William John “Billy” Garner attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1961 and a master’s degree in the same profession in 1976.
Stephen Garner raised Jennifer Garner, Susannah Kay Garner Carpenter, and Melissa Garner Wylie.
Pat Garner, their mother, was his wife for more than sixty years.
Jennifer wrote a blog post to commemorate her parents’ 59th wedding anniversary on January 1, 2024.
“Happy 59th wedding anniversary to my wonderful and devoted parents!” “Thank you, Mom and Dad, for making sure that my sisters and I had a happy and safe childhood,” the woman continued.
She was born in Texas and reared in Charleston, West Virginia.
The Hindustan Times stated that William worked for Union Carbide as a chemical engineer.
Who killed William John Garner?
“My dad died peacefully on Saturday afternoon.” Together, we sang “Amazing Grace” as he left. Did we scare him off, or did we manage to get him over? It’s a legitimate question. The woman added, “I know that grief is inevitable and can come up at any time, but an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, happy life passing away is not a tragedy.”
“Today is a day to express gratitude,” she proclaimed.
“We value Dad’s modest strength and kind disposition.” For the way he played the totally invested, always forgiving girl parent and winked subtly. He is a devout man, a capable leader, and he has a great work ethic.
But Jennifer did note that William was treated at Charleston Area Medical Center and City of Hope. She said nothing about William’s passing.
“We would like to thank the medical staffs at Charleston Area Medical Center and City of Hope.” Your thoughtful attention prolonged Dad’s life and gave him more time to partake in his favorite pastimes, which included watching his beloved Aggies play sports, maintaining a boat, and most significantly, being with our mother, his 59-year wife.
My sisters and I will never stop talking about how wonderful my dad was, so please be patient with us. For now, I’m sharing these memories to show my appreciation for the amazing legacy he left behind and for the wise, kind man who was both a grandfather and a father.
