We mourn the life of Ace Patton Ashford, the gifted and devoted rodeo star from Lott, Texas, with sorrow.
Ace unfortunately died on August 12th at the age of 18 from injuries he received while being pulled by a horse. The rodeo community and everyone who had the honor of knowing him are extremely grieved by his passing.

He was thrilled to join the Rodeo Team in the autumn after his perseverance and hard work earned him a scholarship to Hill College.
Ace was tending to a sick calf on that fateful day when a neighboring horse started to get frightened. Unfortunately, the horse carried him across an open field after his leg got tangled.
Despite the quick arrival of first responders, Ace passed away from his head injuries.
