My friends and I went hiking in the forest over the weekend.

At first, I didn’t even pay much attention. I thought it was just dirt or maybe a sc.r αtch from branches. But when I looked closer, I f.r σze. There were several thin, dark s.p ìkes sticking straight out of my skin, all coming from the same spot.

I stood there for a while, just staring at it. The longer I looked, the stranger it seemed. It didn’t look like anything I had seen before. My first thought was that it might be some kind of insect or pa.r αsite. The idea that something could be inside my skin honestly made me panic a little.

The area around it slowly became red and irritated. It wasn’t extremely p.a ìnful, but it was uncomfortable enough to keep my attention on it. I kept wondering — did this happen during the hike? Did something get into my skin without me noticing?

I even replayed the whole day in my head — walking through bushes, stepping over fallen branches, pushing through tall grass… That’s when it started to make more sense.

After taking a closer look and doing a bit of research, the answer turned out to be much simpler — and a lot less s.c αry — than I imagined.

👉 It’s actually just plant thorns that got stuck in the skin, most likely from brushing against bushes or dry vegetation during the hike.
